Testimonials

Hi my name is Maureen Cournoyer and I can't begin to tell you what a difference attending New England Court Reporting Institute made in my life.

I started this career late in life. I started out at another school and was having trouble getting my speed down and then the school decided to drop the program. I was so lost. I had no idea where I was going to go or what I was going to do.

Then one day I had the pleasure of meeting Jonathan and he changed my life. He told me about NECRI having a school and soon I joined the family.

I have to tell you, being at NECRI is just like a family. They are caring, supportive, understanding and absolutely wonderful people to be able to say you have the pleasure of knowing.

It took me four and a half years to graduate, but looking back, I don't regret one minute of it. I had a lot to overcome in the time I was in school, but no matter what your life is like, you can handle it. It doesn't matter how long it takes you to reach your goal, the point is to reach it and enjoy your victory once you have.

Jonathan was always there for me with encouragement, and support for any problem I encountered, big or small. He was always willing to go the extra mile to help me feel better about myself and what I was trying to accomplish. Jonathan was always looking out for me and wanted me to succeed as much for myself as for him, because when I succeeded, he succeeded, and that's what a family is about.

Jonathan always encouraged me to work harder. He arranged mock depositions for us to go on so that we could get the feel of what it would be like before we entered the real word solo. He was always trying to find new software programs or new steno machines for us to use. I love how Jonathan's main goal is to help the student reach their life goal, and with out his support, I never would have completed this program.

Randy, what can I say about Randy but WOW. He was there everyday helping me get over my hurdles, pushing me, encouraging me, letting me know how great I am. In this field it is very tough most of the time. It's hard, you struggle, you pass your speed, you're on the top of the world, but then you slip back down and try to start again to pass the next speed. It can get very discouraging at times, but with Randy, he made every bad day a good one with his little words of praise, his little jokes and his overall wonderful personality that made going to school enjoyable.

As for Jack, You couldn't ask for a better person to have in your corner and be able to say you have had the pleasure of working with.

Jack has taught me so much. I have become a better court reporter because of her hard but honest teachings. I have become a better reporter because she has taught me how important it is to care about the little details. I had many one-on-one lessons with Jack as far as proofing and scoping my work, and I can honestly say I learned more from her then I did in any English class. I also love the fact that Jack let me sit out on depositions with other reporters before I graduated so that I wouldn't be so scared and alone when the day came to take my first job. I am so thankful that I was able to be part if he wonderful experience of being a NECRI student.

I am so thankful for the family I have found with NECRI and without them I would not be where I am today.

I love my job. The pay is awesome. The hours are flexible. The people I work with are wonderful. It's hard at times, but nothing easy in life is worth as much to you as something you have had to work for. I appreciate everything NECRI has done for me and I thank them for the well-rounded person I have become because of them.

I wish the school and all the students, new and old, much success in your career.

Stick with it; it is definitely worth the effort you put into making your life's work a wonderful, exciting, profitable, but most of all, enjoyable career.

Good luck to you all.
